About Our Team
Tucson Foothills Lacrosse has existed since 2005. Our team is comprised of high school aged players, from beginners to more advanced. Most of our players come from high schools in the Foothills area of Tucson, Arizona.
Mission Statement
Tucson Foothills Lacrosse Club is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization created to promote and develop high school lacrosse in Tucson, Arizona. We strive to encourage and demonstrate good sportsmanship, teamwork, competitive but fair play, integrity, diversity and respect towards each other, our opponents, and the officials. Our goal is to field teams that are constantly improving their technical skills, fitness and conditioning, as well as their character and human qualities. In so doing, we hope to have a positive influence on the players during the time they spend with us and beyond.
Programs
Fall Ball-begins in mid October and runs through the beginning of December. It's a great opportunity for new players to try out the sport and seasoned players to start their conditioning for the regular season. There are usually two practices per week. The Fall Ball season ends with the Lax4Life pre-season tournament up in the Phoenix area. Students interested in playing lacrosse but who are involved with another winter sport can still participate in the regular season.
Regular Season-begins in mid January. Practices are usually three days a week in January and move to five days a week starting in February. Games usually begin at the end of February. We field both a JV and Varsity team. On average, Varsity will play ten games per season with JV playing a few less than ten.
